Some of the best ice cream I've been able to find in central florida. Good prices, friendly staff. We were there when it wasn't busy, and that ice cream hit the spot on a 92 degree day. I'll definitely be back.

First off, who can actually walk by this place without going inside?! The smell one makes me gain 5 lbs. If you're going to go by Kilwins then please do yourself a favor and get the fudge. Don't bother with anything else. This is their trademark and they know what they are doing :) get the turtle fudge and enjoy their fresh made caramel!!!! AMAZING!!!!

We just found out this place existed! The marshmallow and s'more ice cream is absolutely delightful! My fiancée got a strawberry shake and even though I didn't try it personally he said that is the best shake he's had in a long! The service was awesome, everyone was very helpful and nice. We are definitely coming back again! Yay!

Best Praline Patties and chocolate delights, excellent service. Always smells of freshly made waffle cones.

Very welcoming atmosphere with all the store workers greeting you as you walk in. On Wednesday it is waffle cone wednesday, which is buy one get one free. Which is a great deal and an excellent dessert after having dinner at a restaurant off Park Ave. I had the dulce le Leche flavored ice cream and my girlfriend had the smores brownie ice cream. Both were very flavorful, and to top it off with delicious waffle cone. Definitely will be returning here soon.

Rum, freaking, raisin. This is the only place for miles that serves a quality rum raisin. Prato next door should add it to their dessert menu so I don't have to get up to order dessert. I'm usually pretty particular with the level of service I get when evaluating an establishment. In the case of Kilwins the staff really isn't that friendly the nights I've been there, but they haven't been rude either. Unlike a restaurant visit, the interaction is pretty short and sweet: Me: single scoop of rum raisin please, in a waffle cone. Kilwins: ok, I'll cash you out over here. So yeah, this is one scenarios where I pretty much block out everything that isn't currently being cradled by a warm waffle cone. Seriously though, this place sells ice cream and chocolate. Everything is delicious. Short of being ignored or being served substandard product, I'm going to have a hard time having a bad time here.

Definitely some of the best ice cream in central Florida. The creamy vanilla ice cream mixed with FRESH caramel without added sugar is amazing and in no way a diet ice cream. The winter park mud is equally as good. Put either of those in the fresh baked waffle cones... pure sweet creamy bliss!

In Florida, where we have 10 months of crazy hot weather, you always need to know the closest place to cool off with some ice cream. In Winter Park Kilwins is my place to go. As soon as you walk in the shop you get a blast of cold air and the wonderful aroma of fudge. It's bliss. The ice cream is excellent. It is rich and the flavors are great. I really love the praline pecan, but everything is good. A single scoop is a good sized portion. Two scoops and you may not be able to finish before it melts. The waffle cones are made in the shop and are very good. When we stopped in on July 4th they were out of waffle cones and we got to see them making them which was neat. The shop also sells fudge and candy apples which look amazing, but for me the ice cream is the main attraction.

This shop smells nice from the outside. My friend got a caramel apple from them that he says was good. However since I am completely vegan there's basically nothing in the shop that I could eat or try. The customer service was good we were promptly waited on when we went into the store. I just couldn't eat anything there so we went to a different store.

Good ice cream and it smells heavenly inside! Personally though for chocolate I'd rather do Peterbrooke down the street. Certainly not bad, but definitely have had better chocolates and confections. The Winter Park mud ice cream is pretty darn tasty though.

You can't really screw up ice cream can you? I visited Kilwins after dinner on Park Ave and my family and I each got a one scoop dessert. The scoops were large and the price was just right. However the cone my wife had was stale. She only ate 1/3 of it and tossed it. Kilwins has more than just ice cream. They have fudge, candies galore, sherbet and more. It's right near the park so you can go sit on the bench and eat your ice cream on a hot summer afternoon too. I will be back to try other flavors! There was a sign out front but I forgot to check it out. I suggest you save your Sunrail pass! I think it was for a discount?

Totally yummy ice cream. I tried the butter pecan and the Lemon sorbert.. both fantastic for a muggy summer day!

You know what you're getting when you visit Kilwins because it's the same in every location in every state. So, they are consistently okay when it comes to their offerings of ice cream and fudge.

The Heavenly Hash is, well, heavenly. I love to pop in and grab a chunk of this stuff. Its their homemade marshmallow and pecans covered in chocolate. Outstanding. They also make their waffle cones in house. I have actually come in and asked for just a fresh waffle cone and they will make it right then and there for less than $2 and I walk out with a delicious, still warm, waffle cone. The quality of the chocolate is also wonderful (much better than Peterbrooke). I love this place.

Wow! That is literally all I can say... Wow. Such rude service! Not one, not two, but all three gentleman that were working behind the counter did not bother to say anything remotely close to good customer service to my husband or I from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. The only one who bothered saying hi and being friendly was the girl who was leaving and done her shift for the day! These men were so rude that I almost said, forget it, I don't need to get ice cream here. Unfortunately my need for sugar compelled me to buy the cone, but I absolutely regret giving my service to people who could care less if I did or did not shop there. That really saddens me because I really love Kilwin establiments...but customer service is vital to any food place, chain or no chain! Please Kilwins, do yourself a favor, and do your research. Find out who those guys are that work the Sunday shift around 4pm (08-17-14) and have a serious talk about good customer service with them. Also let them know they turned off two customers from this Kilwins permanently because they were more interested talking to each other than actually serving their customers.

Is great dealing with these guys. We see Leah the manager there whenever we go in. We usually get the Apple Pie Carmel Apple. It is dipped in carmel, then in white chocolate and then dusted in cinnamon and sugar. Amazing stuff. They are super friendly and very generous with the serving sizes.

The ice cream was great, however the service was pretty bad. The server was dull, lacked enthusiasm and also the additional staff member was extremely energetic and animated..unfortunately it was with the friend that she chatted with the entire time. When spending over 12.00 on a sundae and a scoop in a waffle cup.. A simple smile would be appreciated.

this place! A bit expensive, but it's on Park Avenue so... The best chocolate and ice cream! My husband and I love it!

I've been to several locations of Kilwins and it is definitely one of my favorite chocolate shops. Ever. The quality doesn't change between locations, you'll never be disappointed. I usually go in for a few of their delicious chocolates, but tonight I decided to get some ice cream. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. To my delight, it was served in a warm, FRESH waffle cone! I love Kilwins!

Great ice cream parlor with indoor and outdoor seating. My son loves the superman ice cream! They also have fudge and other candies. You can watch them make the fudge while you eat. They also have a clean restroom too!

This place is really going down hill. This used to be our favorite ice cream place. Now they are ALWAYS trying to close early. One night they were out of waffle cones & bowl completely! That same night they were only accepting cash. Another night they closed early "due to inclement weather." This was bazaar bcz it was raining then stopped and they still closed early. The ice cream last night was super melty, melted all down my hand like the freezer was not cold enough. Employees are not friendly, seems like they are doing US a favor. Very disappointed.

So i wavered between a 4 and a 5 and since Kilwins started in my home state of Michigan I wanted so badly to give it a 5 but the prices have just seemed to get to a level that I have a hard time paying for an ice cream cone. Taste of the ice cream itself? amazing. I have yet to find a place in the Orlando area that I would prefer more and I can't think of one. If i you remember to visit on National Ice Cream day (like I did!) then you get a discount but other than that dont expect to spend less than $10 for two people....but its ice cream! treat yourself every once and a while!

Stopped by to get the kids desserts. Great ice cream. Great fudge. Amazing chocolate. Great service too!

My favorite thing in life is a rice krispie treat covered in white chocolate! The one here tasted great. The girl serving me was a little snappy, hence why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I am from Stuart and have Kilwin's at home, so I am used to their delicious treats! Nice for an after dinner treat!!!

My husband and I stopped in for dessert recently. You can't go wrong with the ice cream. They are more than happy to offer samples. My husband went with a ice cream shake using their cinnamon crumb cake ice cream. I had the Winter Park Mud ice cream. We couldn't leave without getting a slice of turtle fudge (#1 most popular flavor) to go. Make sure to stop by if you're in the area. You'll be glad you did!

Amazing ice cream! This would also be a great place to buy chocolate/fudge made in Winter Park for yourself or a special someone. The lady who served our ice cream was nice but not the friendliest.

  • Cheryl S.

Good ice cream, good chocolate treats, but nothing too special. This is the smallest Kilwin's store I've seen (I've been to the one in St. Augustine and Sarasota), and it seems a little disorganized. But the prices are high and the ice cream is less than extraordinary. Considering that there are other chocolate shops and ice cream parlours on Park Ave, it's just A-OK.

Amazing, great, spectacular. This ice cream is the best. I just found out there was one in Winter Park and am so happy. It's actually ice cream and not yogurt. They have other sweets like chocolates, fudge, and candy. Try a waffle cone, they make them there, its a little more but well worth it as the scoops are very generous.

A nice, old fashiuned, candy and ice cream store. The ice cream is quite good. The homemade fudge and candy is quite good also. They originated in 1947 and it a bit like stepping back in time.

I had the cookie dough with chocolate chips icecream. The icecream tastes delicious, but wish it had more pieces of cookie dough. The lady behind the counter was not friendly at all. She had an attitude. I had never experienced this at other Kilwins. This lady needs to be spoken with by the manager.

Cappuccino chocolate chip was delicious! Definitely will be back to try some more flavors. Chocolate dipped strawberries looked yummy too. Very friendly staff. Price was ok.

How can you go wrong with ice cream and freshly made waffle cones?? You can smell the deliciousness wafting up and down Park Ave and it just draws you in. The great this about Kilwin's is that they also have chocolate covered goodies, and different flavors of fudge. It can get a little pricey, but who care's it's ice cream and you deserve it!!

I came during Easter weekend where park avenue is fairly busy but not too crazy. Its nice to grab some ice cream and stroll around the street. I had the new orleans pecan ice cream. I'm a big fan of butter pecan and the new orleans was a surprise treat. I think the difference in taste is that its added with caramel. Service wasn't so great, didn't seem to be happy work on Easter, but the ice cream was tasty!

  • Lily R.

There ice cream is quite pricey, but I'll admit that it's very good! Love that you can see people making the chocolate stuff in the front as well!

Man, it took me way to long to review this Kilwins. Right on Park Ave, conveniently next door to Prato. The ice cream is delicious and of course their chocolate is amazing. It's a great spot to satisfy the sweet tooth in anyone. Even though they are a pretty big franchise and have locations all over, it seems like a little neighborhood dessert shop when you are in there. It's always clean and the employees are super friendly. Whether it's fudge, caramel, handmade chocolates, ice cream, you name it and they have it. Their website is really cool and makes you instantly crave something sweet. We highly recommend stopping in Kilwins for dessert the next time you have dinner on Park Ave.

Always friendly & clean and they have the best salted caramel ice cream I've ever eaten. You can eat in or sit at one of the outdoor tables and watch people walk by on Park Avenue. A really nice spot when you need a little (or lot of) sugar.

alarming! real ice cream? YES. In the New World of tart , fat -free dessert, go to Kilwin's and you can feel nostalgic. Hand made FUDGE. fresh CANDY. MMM. I have already requested from my husband , a caramel covered, chocolate splattered pretzel gift from Kilwin's for Valentine's Day!

I was so excited when Kilwin's opened in Winter Park! I was a HUGE fan of Kilwin's when I lived in St. Augustine. That alone speaks a lot because I am way more a fan of fro-yo then ice cream. The ice cream here is homemade and awesome. It's also open until 10:30 on the weekend which is perfect when you want to get a little treat and walk along Park Ave or sit in the park. The place smells great because they also sell homemade fudge, candy apples and other chocolate treats. Try one of their in house ice cream flavors you won't regret it :) I like how they customize the names to the location where they are at...it gives each Kilwin's its own hometown feel. Definitely, don't skip Kilwin's on your next trip to Park Ave!!!!
